Zoomark 2025 honors innovation in pet food with Pet Vision and NEXT Awards

Zoomark 2025 recognized standout innovations in the pet industry with the Pet Vision Awards presented during the international trade show taking place May 5–7 at BolognaFiere in Italy.

Selected by a panel of international pet industry journalists, the Pet Vision Awards spotlighted winning products that align with key megatrends shaping pet food and care.

In the Brain & Health category, which recognizes products that support pets’ cognitive and physical well-being, Natsbi Steamed Dog by Gosbi Pet Food was awarded for its high-meat-content dog food (85% to 90%) that is gently steamed to retain nutrients without requiring refrigeration or freezing.

In the Mini Mania category, aimed at the needs of small pets, Linea Fieni by Mantovani Pet Diffusion Srl received top recognition. The product line includes sun-dried hay and snacks made from plant-based ingredients, designed to support nutrition, dental hygiene, and behavioral enrichment for small animals.

The Pet Vision Awards, now in their second year, highlight innovative products exhibited at the show’s Pet Vision area, where over 1,000 new items were on display.

Zoomark joins European Pet Organization

In related news, Zoomark has officially joined the European Pet Organization (EPO), the representative body for the pet sector at the EU level.

EPO unites national pet industry associations across Europe and advocates for their interests in policy discussions and regulatory matters. By joining, Zoomark strengthens its institutional role and broadens its commitment to advancing responsible pet ownership, regulatory alignment, and cross-sector dialogue.

“Our membership in EPO represents a significant step forward in Zoomark’s growth and mission,” said Enrico Zannini, General Director of BolognaFiere Cosmoprof. “We are proud to support the values of responsibility, transparency, and cooperation that EPO stands for, and we’re convinced that this partnership will offer new opportunities for sharing expertise, addressing key regulatory developments, and strengthening the voice of the pet sector in Europe.”

Zoomark 2025 is expected to host more than 1,300 exhibitors and 30,000 professional visitors, underscoring its role as a major platform for global pet industry stakeholders. Its EPO membership further positions the event as a key actor in advancing innovation, sustainability, and legislative dialogue.

In addition to its B2B reach, Zoomark’s affiliation with QuattroZampeinFiera (QZF)— a consumer-facing event also organized by BolognaFiere Cosmoprof —enhances EPO’s engagement with pet owners and the broader public in Italy.

“Thanks to our dual role through Zoomark and QuattroZampeinFiera, on one hand, we create a stage for the entire supply chain to meet, collaborate, and grow, on the other, we help spread a culture of responsibility and respect towards animals, by engaging with families and pet lovers directly,” said Luisa Bersanetti, exhibition manager of Zoomark and QZF. “We will support the work of EPO strengthening responsible pet keeping and supporting the industry’s best practices.”

Italy remains a significant European pet market, with over 65 million companion animals and a mature retail environment. EPO leadership said Zoomark’s participation will bolster its capacity to reach this key region and promote consistent standards across Europe.

“Italy stands out among Europe’s largest pet markets,” said Svein A. Fosså, president of EPO. “The addition of Zoomark to EPO allows us to open new channels of dialogue and collaboration with a broad and qualified player, and to further pursue our mission of promoting responsible pet ownership, legislative coherence, and sustainable development across the continent.”

Zoomark’s participation in EPO will be reflected in a series of initiatives throughout 2025 as it continues to shape the European pet care landscape.
