Former reality star Tony McCollister is accused of uploading child sexual abuse material to his Google account

Former TV star Tony McCollister has been arrested over child and animal abuse charges.

Tony – who briefly appeared on A&E show Neighbours with Benefits – was taken into custody in Warren, Ohio on December 23 after he was accused of uploading child sexual abuse material to his Google account. McCollister has since been banned from being around all animals and minor children. According to court documents, Tony has also been ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from the two dogs he allegedly abused.

The disgraced star was one of the swingers featured on A&E’s 2015 series Neighbors With Benefits, which was cancelled after just two episodes amid furious backlash.

Court records obtained by TMZ state that Tony cannot “force sexual relations” involving either minors or pets. Warren County Sheriff Barry Riley revealed both dogs were seized by deputies and are now in safe hands.

Tony was taken into custody and charged with pandering obscenity involving a minor and engaging in sexual conduct with animals, according to WLWT . It’s alleged that McCollister uploaded child sexual abuse material to his Google account and committed acts involving the two dogs he owned. After his arrest, the judge set bail at $250,000 (£185,000). McCollister remains in jail and is due back in court on December 30.

Neighbors With Benefits followed married couples in Ohio as they explored open relationships. But A&E later confirmed it wouldn’t air the remaining seven episodes after a tepid response from viewers.

McCollister and his then-partner Diana – who share three children, according to Us Weekly – defended their decision to appear on the show.

Tony told Fox19 NOW in 2015: “We got some bad reviews on the first episode and some great reviews on the second episode.”

Diana said: “We did it for a reason. We want our story told. This is how we swing. We just want to show our side of things because we do feel like we’re happy. We have a great life. It keeps your marriage exciting. There are no boundaries. We don’t know what we are going to do tomorrow or the next day or the day after.”

McCollister added: “The lifestyle isn’t for everyone. You’re not going to force your spouse into it and have it end well. There are a lot of negative things that go along with this but it can be a very positive thing if you approach it in an open honest way with open honest communication.”
